And again Miss Universe 2015 created history by showcasing a variety of beauties from different parts of the world. But who really stole the show was none other than the host Steve Harvey who originally announced the wrong winner of miss universe contest on Sunday night.

He announced Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez as the winner of the beauty pageant. She was basking in the glory of her victory on the stage of Las Vegas and relishing at the win of her country for two consecutive years. But the show had just begun there. Just after 2 minutes of announcing the winner, Steve Harvey realized his mistake and came back to stage apologizing and announcing the misread results. Miss Colombia was the first runner up, he said, holding up the card that contained the original results.

The real winner was Miss Philippines, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach who looked shocked by understanding that she had actually won the pageant.

Miss Colombia bravely took the moment in her hands and allowed Former Universe Paulina Vega to remove the crown from her head. The Former Universe didn’t waste a minute and handed over the crown to whom it belonged to. Harvey took the whole responsibility of the moment. Fellow contestants rushed to congratulate Wurtzbach while others comforted Gutierrez. That was an awkward moment for both of them. But proved to be an epic one for rest of the world.
